1. Who we are

FaceOff B.V. ("FaceOff", "we") operates faceoffduel.com, a platform where users compete against each other in video games of skill for entry fees and prizes. Contact: [email protected].

2. Acceptance

By creating an account you agree to these Terms, the Player Rules and the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use FaceOff.

3. Eligibility

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You reside in a jurisdiction where participating in skill-based competitions with entry fees is lawful.
• You are not on any sanctions list and have not been previously banned from FaceOff.

4. Nature of the service

FaceOff is a skill-based competition platform. Matches on FaceOff are games of skill: outcomes are determined by the players' performance in the game, not by chance, and no game of chance is offered. FaceOff is not a party to any match; we provide matchmaking, escrow, result reporting and dispute resolution.

5. Fees

We charge a platform fee of 10% on each wager pot and tournament prize pool. Fees are shown before you commit. We may change fees with 14 days' notice.

6. Wallet & payments

• Deposits are processed by our payment partner. We don't store card details.
• Wallet balances are not bank deposits and don't earn interest. They are held for you and can be withdrawn at any time, except funds locked in escrow for an unresolved match.
• We may verify your identity (KYC) before withdrawals, and must do so above statutory thresholds.
• Chargebacks on funds already used in matches are treated as fraud.

7. Results, escrow & disputes

Stakes are held in escrow from match creation until resolution. Results are settled per the Player Rules. Moderator decisions on disputes are final and binding between users; you may appeal to [email protected] within 7 days for review of process errors only.

8. Prohibited conduct

Cheating, collusion, multi-accounting, fraud, harassment, or circumventing bans. Violations may result in suspension, termination and forfeiture of funds connected to the violation.

9. Intellectual property

Game names, artwork and trademarks belong to their respective publishers. FaceOff is not affiliated with or endorsed by any game publisher unless stated. The FaceOff name, logo and platform are ours.

10. Availability & liability

The service is provided "as is". We are not liable for game-server outages, publisher actions, or losses arising from your own play. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding 3 months, except where law prohibits such limits.

11. Termination

You can close your account any time; remaining balance is withdrawn to your verified payment method. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

12. Changes

We'll notify you of material changes by email or in-app at least 14 days before they apply.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, where FaceOff B.V. is established. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless mandatory consumer law in your country gives you the right to your local court.
